Story line

In the basement, Finney discovers an old phone that's disconnected. Suddenly, the phone starts ringing, and Finney picks it up. On the other end of the line, he hears the voice of a girl who was previously abducted by the Grabber. She warns him that the Grabber is dangerous and that he needs to find a way to escape.
Finney soon discovers that the phone allows him to communicate with the dead. He starts hearing the voices of other victims who were killed by the Grabber. With their help, Finney tries to escape and outsmart the Grabber.
As the story unfolds, we learn more about the Grabber's motivations and his past. He was once a victim himself and was abducted as a child. He was kept in a basement with an old phone, and he made a deal with the devil to get revenge on his own abductor. Now, the Grabber is continuing his killing spree and seeking more victims.
Throughout the movie, we see Finney's resourcefulness and bravery as he tries to escape from the Grabber. His sister, played by Madeleine McGraw, also plays a key role in the story as she works with the police to try and locate Finney.
